2024 Concussion and Brain Health Position Statement
CONCUSSION AND BRAIN HEALTH POSITION STATEMENT 2024 Badminton South Australia endorses the 2024 Concussion and Brain Health Position Statement which aims to improve safety and health outcomes for all people who suffer concussive injuries while participating in sport. This position statement is intended as a general guide relating to current best practices for prevention, recognition, and management of concussion, underpinned by available empirical evidence. It should not be interpreted as a policy for clinical practice or legal standard of care. Recommendations will evolve to reflect evidence and advances in science. "if in doubt, sit them out" |

LGBTQ+ Inclusion Policy
|
Badminton South Australia in conjunction with Badminton Australia has released its LGBTQ+ Inclusion Policy. We will continue to seek advice from Pride In Sport, the Australian Human Rights Commission and LGBTQIA+ organisations on how we can continue to improve inclusion in our sport.
Sport Australia believes that every Australian should be able to participate in sport and physical activity in a welcoming and inclusive way – regardless of gender, sexual orientations, ability, cultural background, ethnicity, location or life stage. We encourage everyone to reach out to their local club/sporting centre to pick up a racquet and get involved! Pride in Sport is the only sporting inclusion program specifically designed to assist sporting organisation of all levels with the inclusion of employees, players, coaches, volunteers and spectators with diverse sexualities and genders. The world-first Pride In Sport Index (PSI) benchmarks and assess the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people across all sporting contexts. The Australian Human Rights Commission is an independent statutory organisation established by an act of Federal Parliment. We protect and promote human rights in Australia and internationally |
